The new Tornado 4 H2O is a continuation of the original mesh pants named after nature’s most violent storms. These are mesh pants that can be made waterproof and warmer. So, not a waterproof warm pair of trousers that allows riding wind to enter. Major difference!
The Tornado 4 H2O – available for men and women, motorcycle jacket as well as motorcycle pants, in short and long sizes for men – was given a new, better breathing and stretching membrane in the earlier update so this is primarily to keep up with the eponymous motorcycle jacket, the perfect match to these motorcycle pants. Or almost, because in this fourth generation, REV’IT! has undoubled the thermal lining from the waterproof membrane, adding something new with additional options.
The premise is still mesh pants as outer layer. To still be able to talk of wear-resistant – protective – motorcycle pants, REV’IT! uses the tried and tested PWR|Shell, a combination of wear and tear-resistant materials. The standard equipped SEEFLEX™ CE certified knee protectors (in adjustable pockets) and the SEESMART™ CE-level 1 protectors on the hips are in-house designs by REV’IT! and have already earned their stars and stripes in the field of impact protection and wearing comfort. Judiciously applied reflection enhances visibility in darker conditions.
All clear up to here. But then. Where most pants are fine and comfortable to get on and head off in the morning, most start getting annoying when temperatures rise. The Tornado 4 still reverses that principle. Fine in the morning, thanks to the 3-in-1 thermal lining and the waterproof Hydratex®-lite-membrane, and as soon as it gets hotter, you just take that out and things only get better.
Cold and wet, warm and dry, cold and dry, warm and wet… All options are open. This turns the Tornado 4 H2O into the ideal pair of holiday trip trousers when heading South. And the ideal motorcycle commuter pants. And simply ideal motorcycle trousers in general.
Definitely because all the other REV’IT! features are also to be expected. Anti-skid material on the seat ensures the rider of staying firmly anchored into the saddle. Velcro strips grant a perfectly customisable fit, over or inside the motorcycle boot. The higher finished back of the trousers makes sure that your back stays covered in the typical sporty riding position. The accordion stretch panel in your lower back substantially enhances the sitting and wearing comfort of these pants.
There are adjustment options in the waist in the shape of elastic bands, and straps that are adjustable in length. The press stud to close the trousers are reliable and secure. Two side pockets with zip allow you to store the essentials. If you’re a fan, Strapper suspenders are a good option.
Two slash pockets offer the required storage space and the short connecting zip allows you to create the perfect combination – with the Tornado 4 H2O motorcycle jacket.
