We called the previous version the ultimate mesh motorcycle pants. This Airwave 4 is at least as good, even with a slightly different style and cut. What can we call it… Even more ‘ultimate’? Or simply, slightly different?
Fitting lots of mesh into motorcycle trousers without compromising in the field of safety, potentially combined with the namesake motorcycle jacket will always remain a balancing act. The same goes for this version, with its sportier lines and sharper appearance. You notice the redesigning – it is quite literally a repositioning on the motorcycle – in the motorcycle trousers as well as in the motorcycle jacket, where for example it stands out that the pants pockets are lower than before, specifically lower than the average touring trousers. Your position on a touring motorcycle is different from a hyperbike and REV’IT! always seems to know of each item what you are up to.
The Airwave 4, the motorcycle trousers as well as the motorbike jacket also come in ladies’ versions, and in a variety of colours. Just a matter of making sure that every taste is catered for.
So, these speedy motorcycle trousers are especially for those days where you don’t feel like wearing motorcycle pants at all. Or: all the features of proper motorcycle trousers without the feeling of wearing one. Because compromising your personal protection is hardly ever a good idea.
The PWR|shell mesh on upper and lower legs, in the front and in the back, delivers some appreciated coolness, giving riding wind free play. In order to still be able to call these wear-resistant – yet protective – trousers, the mesh is combined with ripstop in all the vital places. The standard supplied SEESMART™ CE certified knee protectors (in adjustable pockets) and the SEESMART™ CE-level 2 protectors on the hips are in-house REV’IT! technology, scoring high in the field of impact protection, as well as wearing comfort.
Judicially applied reflective strips and a reflective logo enhance visibility in dark conditions.
In the meantime, anti-skid material on the seat guarantees the wearer of being anchored on their saddle. Velcro strips allow for a perfectly customisable fit, over or inside your motorcycle boots. The back of the trousers are finished higher so that your back stays covered when you’re in a sporty position. The accordion stretch panel on the lower back substantially enhances the sitting and wearing comfort of these trousers.
To close up the Airwave 4, REV’IT! uses a decent press stud that won’t spontaneously open on its own accord. There are adjustment options in the waist, in the form of elastic bands and straps that are adjustable in length. The two side pockets with zip allow you to store the essentials, even when you’re hanging off a sporty two-wheeled specimen.
The Airwave 4 is ready to be fitted with Strapper suspenders and the connecting zipper in the back allows for a combination with a jacket of your choice from the REV’IT! range. We think it makes sense that the Airwave 4 motorcycle jacket comes out on top.
