The new Twister Neo WP by GMS is a touring motorcycle jacket that stands out because of its wide variety in (large) sizes and an equally large budget-friendliness. In lady’s and gentleman’s versions, with a waterproof membrane, the Twister Neo WP is a particularly accessible and universal motorcycle jacket.
The largest size is 12XL. That’s an impressive surface of GERMADURA® 600D, because that is what the entire exterior is made of. The relatively sturdy material is the first line of defence and is quite literally supported by a GERMATEX® Z-Liner. This membrane is in charge of the wind and waterproofness, and the breathing properties of the Twister Neo WP, which now explains what the ‘WP’ stands for. The GERMATEX® Z-Liner is integrated in the outer shell of the Twister Neo WP, which means that it is non-removable. Another, additional thermal lining, however, can be removed and the direct AirVent ventilation zips open up the possibility to the most common motorcycle riding weather.
A motorcycle jacket with a size table that reaches all the way up to 12XL benefits from an elasticated drawstring at the base. The centring Velcro straps and the customisation options at the sleeve ends also help loosening or tightening a few parts up. The accordion stretch at the back of the shoulders and elbows suits the flexible principle, although it is always best to start with the best-fitting size. The collar also has a Velcro strip.
The Twister Neo WP is no lightweight. The typical touring cut is ‘three-quarters’ and offers storage space on the inside and on the outside. Don’t expect any miracles at this price, although this motorcycle jacket will certainly surprise a few people. The CE-certified impact protection on the elbows and shoulders is part of the package. The optional back protector is your choice to make.
