As the numbers go up (10, 20, 30K ...), so do the possibilities of each new SENA system. This '50' version is therefore the very pinnacle of the SENA system for the time being. The absolute top of the range when it comes to Intercom systems on motorcycles.
The SENA 50 consists of the SENA 50R and the SENA 50S, and the difference lies above all in the mounting and the design, with the corresponding controls.
This SENA 50S comes with an accompanying holder and is thus a bit wider than its brother. In this case, it is the holder that you attach to the helmet, not the intercom module itself. The module simply clicks into the holder. The operation of the SENA 50S is done by means of a rotating wheel or 'Jog Dial', as if you were scrolling through modules. Apart from all voice controls, of course.
Those who prefer a two-button +/- control will prefer the SENA 50R. This is not mounted in a holder, but directly onto the helmet, whether or not removable when using velcro.
The SENA 50R and SENA 50S both get new Harman Kardon speakers, can connect with up to 24 riders at the same time in Mesh Intercom and use Bluetooth 5 as standard, also a guarantee for fast, faster, fastest. And stable, more stable, most stable.
There is a new 'wifi cable' in the package. In concrete terms, this means: an extra module that is included in the charging cable and automatically 'downloads' the updates while you charge the device. Charge faster. A one-time Wi-Fi connection is all it takes.
Furthermore, SENA naturally continues to build on the familiar recipe that - for all intents and purposes - has always been the best. Only, as technology continues to evolve, so does SENA. And for the time being, this leads to the 50S. Something tells us that this is not the end.
The 50S is available as a Single or Dual kit.
General note: The world of electronics (which also includes intercoms, smartphones, GPS, etc.) changes so quickly that it is possible that some (outdated) devices are not compatible with each other in certain areas. Unfortunately, the manufacturer can't provide us with data that shows which combinations between intercoms/GPS's and/or smartphones cause problems. A regular update of all electronic devices is therefore desirable to avoid problems as much as possible.
