The Sena SMH5-FM is the most complete entry-level model in the field of Bluetooth communication systems for scooter and motorcycle riders. This set features impressive specifications, which are intuitively controlled by the 'Jog Dial', simply by turning and clicking. The device can be paired with a phone, navigation and mp3 players. It is also possible to use the intercom function between rider and passenger or between riders themselves (you and 3 interlocutors).
FM Radio
The powerful, built-in FM receiver means you can always listen to your favourite music without draining your phone or mp3 player battery! The SMH5-FM allows you to preset 10 radio stations to your preference.
Bluetooth V3.0 and AVRCP/A2DP protocol and 'wind noise' reduction guarantee a flawless wireless connection with excellent sound quality. The sound volume of each connected device is even individually adjustable.
The battery status of the unit is transmitted through the speakers on request. The built-in lithium-polymer battery guarantees up to 10 hours talk time (or 7 days standby). An optional cable allows charging while driving.
The SMH5-FM comes with a "Boom type" microphone, for use in a system or jet helmet and a built-in microphone, for use in a full-face helmet. This makes the SMH5-FM suitable for every type of helmet. Sena products have a 2 year warranty and are 'firmware upgradable'.
The Sena SMH5-FM is available as a "Single" or "Dual" kit. With a "Dual" kit you can each listen to different radio stations separately.
For your information: The SMH5 units cannot be paired with a remote control.
General note: The world of electronics (which also includes intercoms, smartphones, GPS, etc.) is changing so rapidly that some (outdated) devices may not be compatible with each other in certain areas. Unfortunately, the manufacturer can't provide us with data that shows which combinations between intercoms/gps's and/or smartphones cause problems. A regular update of all electronic devices is therefore desirable to avoid problems as much as possible.
