This helmet comes with one clear visor fitted and one tinted visor in the box. Mirrored visors are available as an option.
The SCORPION EXO-TECH EVO Carbon is one of the brand's top motorcycle helmets with the double scorpion sticker. Double homologation? Check. This flip-up helmet can be used flipped up. Lightweight? Carbon, so yes. Integrated sun visor? Also, just like a Pinlock® lens. A real winner.
The double P/J-homologation - as a full-fledged full-face helmet and as a full-fledged jet helmet - is a striking phenomenon, with the chin piece opening backwards, which had already been introduced by competitor 'Shark'. This means that the EXO-TECH EVO Carbon is particularly versatile. And it literally has a wide chin guard. Ah yes, because it has to go around the helmet shell. SCORPION has no choice but to use a slightly wider helmet shell than is customary. This is only important - but it is important - if you are riding with a SCORPION helmet that only just fits in your panniers ...
Otherwise, no worries. Two helmet shells hold all the helmet sizes, which adds up to 1500 grams for a full carbon fiber helmet like this. This is still a sturdy helmet, for versatile and frequent use. The Ultra TCT technology is recent and guarantees excellent shock absorption on impact.
Ventilation is included to a large extent in a flip-up helmet of this type and with the easy to operate chin and top ventilation you never lack fresh air or oxygen.
The transparent visor is ready to fit a Pinlock® lens and you'll find that in the box as well. Removing and/or replacing the visor is a bit more work than 'normal', because a flip-up and rear-facing chin guard shares a mounting and pivoting point with the clear visor. Again: no worries. It's all self-explanatory and SCORPION puts two extra 'stopping points' and a piece of specific tooling in the box. And a tinted visor.
With the term 'Speedview' SCORPION however also looks in the direction of an integrated sun visor. The slider is located at the bottom left and whether with or without gloves: it works easily and smoothly.
Kwickwick 3 is about the interior: fully removable, washable and hypoallergenic, this helmet interior regulates the internal moisture in a way that is more than reassuring. Even in warm conditions, by the way. When you read the word 'Kwikfit' in a text about SCORPION motorbike helmets, as a wearer of glasses you know that you can rest assured: this motorbike helmet is perfectly equipped for that, with cut-outs for your glasses.
A wide and well-fitting neck rim and the adjustable micrometric closure illustrate that attention was paid to the details. The windproof curtain chin is removable.
The SCORPION EXO-TECH EVO Carbon comes with a five-year warranty.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the exterior. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
