The SENA 50C with Harman Kardon speakers is in essence everything like the most recent intercom system SENA 50S but with extra camera. The crème de la crème with a cherry on top. Class above class.
The SENA 50C has new Harman Kardon speakers, is able to connect with no less than 24 riders at the same time in Mesh Intercom and uses Bluetooth 5 by default; a warranty for fast, faster, fastest. And stable, stabler, most stable. Now add the ULTRA HD: 4K, 30FPS-camera with 30° adjustable lens to that and it’s clear that there aren’t many things that offer more options than this. Maybe until SENA adds the voice-activated digital assistant (“Hey Google”/”Hey Siri”).
But wait, it has. Just like you can voice-control the SENA 50C in no less than 8 languages. This means that the SENA 50C speaks three-and-a-half languages more than we do.
The integrated camera is ready to snap pictures at any time. You can shoot videos on the road in 4K with 30 fps (frames per second) or 12 MP pictures in the standstill, burst or timelapse mode. For recordings in 1080p, the 50C offers electronic image stabilisation at 60 fps and 30 fps. People who still know what they are reading, will love browsing through the technical folder. For others, it’s important to know that the camera button allows simple recording with one single push, while being voice-directed about the camera’s status. You can save important events from a continuous loop of video recordings, thanks to video tagging, creating ready-made instant highlights.
With regard to storage, the 50C accepts MicroSD-cards up to 128 GB.
An audio-visual package that not too long ago required a van with satellite connection, decent weather and a lot of good fortune, now stuck to your motorcycle helmet; that is the SENA 50C.
General note: The world of electronics (which also includes intercoms, smartphones, GPS, etc.) changes so quickly that it is possible that some (outdated) devices are not compatible with each other in certain areas. Unfortunately, the manufacturer can't provide us with data that shows which combinations between intercoms/GPS's and/or smartphones cause problems. A regular update of all electronic devices is therefore desirable to avoid problems as much as possible.
