This medium tanklock tankbag lends itself perfectly to day trips and is characterized above all by the specific visibility in all conditions of map and smartphone/tablet holder. The smallest Xstream (10 to 15 liters) can only be mounted on a tanklock mounting ring. You can find the right tanklock mounting ring for your bike here.
A safety strap for additional securing around the steering head ensures that it stays in place at all times. Two external side pockets - zippered separately and easily accessible from the outside - offer limited storage options. The spacious main storage compartment features a long zipper with two pulls. By bringing the openings of both pullers together you can close the tankbag with a combination lock. The central storage compartment has no additional internal divisions. An extra inner pocket (literally!) provides better protection against the elements. At the top, along the outside, there is a storage compartment with a transparent piece, where a map or smartphone certainly will find its place. Access to the transparent pocket is located inside, which protects the smartphone against the weather. Operation of the device is possible from the outside.
The Givi Xstream is made of sturdy 600D polyester with PVC reinforcements. A separate, fluorescent rain cover (with see-through top) is included. The presence of a handle makes it possible to carry the tankbag without problems at a stop. An included shoulder strap turns the bag into a backpack/shoulder bag in no time. Reflective details increase visibility in the evening and at night. The dimensions of this tank bag are 27 cm x 35 cm x 18 cm. The height can be adjusted by means of a zipper at the bottom to 21 cm. The maximum content of the tank bag is then 15 liters. The dimensions of the transparent card reader are 20 x 24,7 cm.
Attention! Tanklock tankbags are attached onto the petrol cap, which is - if all goes well - standard in one place. That means: you can't really 'move' with a tanklock tankbag, like with magnetic bags you can choose whether you place it higher or lower on the tank. Short nakeds with a relatively small fuel tank and large tank bags that use tanklock can cause a conflict at handlebar height. In any case: more luggage space should never be at the expense of better handling.
But ... there are solutions. The bigger the tankbag, the more flexibility it usually offers. The mounting ring of the tank latch system can - in certain cases - be moved. Not meters, but enough to create space and safety.
Because this is a relatively large tankbag, there is a chance that the available space between your fuel cap (tanklock!) and your handlebar is indeed too limited to be comfortable and safe. In that case the mounting ring can be moved in five positions (loosen four screws and tighten them again). That way you quickly gain a few centimeters.
This tankbag is standard equipped with a cable grommet, through which you can connect electrical devices with a motorcycle mounted plug during the ride or with the GIVI USB-hub. Or vice versa, when you want to link an electric device (on the handlebars) to a powerbank (in the tankbag).
