Investing in a good pair of crash bars for your bike makes sense. Crash bars protect your bike (read: primarily the engine) in case of a light fall or clumsiness. Added bonus is that they provide an extra adventurous and rugged look.
Originally they were mainly used by endurance riders, but today also naked, custom, all-road and touring bike riders have discovered the benefits. A crash or clumsy drop can cause a lot of damage to the bike and engine. This 22mm or 25 mm tubular frame should absorb a fair part of any impact.
Does that mean you can unconditionally expect a damage-free bike after a crash? No, engine guards have proven their worth many times, but can never offer perfect protection. The brackets are made of high quality steel and are beautifully welded. They are also perfectly suitable for mounting a set of auxiliary lights.
Do-it-yourself can be fun and relaxing, and we fully encourage it, but this is motorcycle safety equipment. If in doubt over your skills, find a professional to install them for you.
But if you're confident enough, we'd be happy to share this pro-tip: don't tighten the bolts completely until the final stage, when you are sure everything is in the exact right place. That way you can always slightly change the position of the parts to ensure everything fits perfectly.
The mentioned price is for a set of two engine guards (left side + right side).

- Securing nuts and bolts with a locking agent is recommended. It is a small effort, for a much better result.
