Sena customised this intercom system for the Arai SZ-R VAS jet helmet. The motorbike helmet requires a compact design that still maintains the basis of a decent and contemporary intercom – that’s all a-okay here.
The Sena SENA ACS-RAM Arai SZ-R VAS is a communication headset with a two-way HD intercom and smartphone connectivity for music, GPS and taking phone calls. This covers just about the entire range of common operations. It fits the interior of the Arai SZ-R VAS motorbike helmet perfectly. Its compact set-up is almost invisible and does not bother the wearer of the motorcycle helmet.
The ACS-RAM intercom enables a conversation between two users over a distance of 500 metres, thanks to Bluetooth. You need three buttons to pass through all the functions. The battery will last for about twelve hours and can be recharged in about one fourth of that time. One way of moving through the operations even quicker, is with the app. For whoever loves chatting with their pillion rider or fellow rider, this is the absolute best!
General remark: the world of electronics (that also includes intercoms, smartphones, GPSs, etc) is changing so rapidly that it’s possible for some (older) devices not to be compatible anymore. Unfortunately, the manufacturer cannot provide us with data to know which combinations of intercoms/GPSs/smartphones cause issues. It is recommended to regularly update all your electronics in order to avoid issues as best as you can.
