With this small but practical Tanklock tankbag from the Sport-T family, you can keep all your valuables close at all time. There is a special compartment on top for your smartphone that can be accessed separately.
This tankbag can only be mounted on a tank lock mounting ring. You can find the right tank lock mounting ring for your bike here. Also interesting to know is that the (pre-shaped) base is specifically suited for fuel tanks that descend towards the rider. Motorbikes that are inspired by a little adventure are therefore perfectly suited.
The main storage compartment of the ST612 has a long zipper with two pullers. By bringing the openings of both pullers together, you can lock the tankbag with a little padlock. The mesh panel in the pre-shaped lid allows for an additional division. On top – and only accessible from the outside – there’s a transparent window (8cm x 16,5cm) for easy display of a smartphone.
The GIVI ST612 tankbag is made out of pre-shaped EVA and laminated 1000D polyester. A separate rain cover is supplied. This means that you are presented with a solid and compact unit. The standard dimensions of this pre-shaped tankbag are 33,5cm x 28cm x 26cm.
There are extension options thanks to the all-round zipper, which brings its
dimensions up to 33,5cm x 28cm x 31cm . The volume created then is 15 litres.
The
presence of a handle allows you to effortlessly carry the tankbag
on your stops. Reflective details enhance visibility at night and in the
evenings. There’s a rain cover, an adjustable shoulder strap and a cable
grommet, which makes this tankbag
perfectly suitable for all modern requirements you could have for a tankbag.
Attention! Tankbags are mounted to the fuel cap, which is – usually – standard in one place. This means that you can’t really ‘move’ your Tanklock bag higher or lower on your tank, like you do a magnetic tankbag. Short naked bikes with a relatively small fuel tank and large tankbags that use Tanklock can cause problems at the handlebars. Anyway, more storage space should never interfere with controls over the bike.
But there are solutions for that. The bigger the tankbag, the more flexible it usually is. The mounting ring of the Tanklock system can – in some cases – be moved a little. Not too much but enough to create enough space and first and foremost, safe handling.
Certain – short cut – motorbikes can in this case encounter issues with the 33,5-centimetre long ST612, so try before you buy. There are no adjustment options for the mounting ring.
