This (medium) large tanklock tankbag is perfect for daytrips but can also contain luggage for a longer ride. Its primary feature is the specific visibility of the map and smartphone/tablet holder under all circumstances and that is mostly oriented towards enduro riders. The Xstream from 17 to 20 litres can only be mounted onto a tanklock mounting ring. You can find the right tanklock mounting ring for your motorcycle here. A safety strap around the steering head for additional security ensures it staying in place at all times.
Three removable side bags that can be worn as (adjustable) hip bags/hip belts offer a lot of practical storage room. The large main storage compartment has a long zip with two pulls. By combining the openings of the two pulls you can lock the tankbag with a little lock. There are no internal compartments in the central storage space. There’s an additional inner pocket (literally!) that offers better protection against the elements. At the top, on the outside, there’s a storage space with a transparent section that can house a map or smartphone. You can access this transparent section from the inside, which gives better protection to your smartphone against the weather. You can operate your device from the outside. You can also attach an extra tablet holder (larger) in a safe, quick and convenient way on top of the tankbag.
The Givi Xstream is made from 600D polyester with PVC reinforcements and is delivered with a separate fluorescent rain cover (with transparent section at the top). The presence of a handle allows you to effortlessly carry the tankbag with you at a stop. The supplied shoulder strap turns this bag into a backpack or shoulder bag in no time. Reflective details enhance visibility in the evenings and at night.
The dimensions of this tankbag are 28 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm. The height can be adjusted to 23 cm thanks to a zip at the base. This tankbag has a maximum capacity of 20 litres. The dimensions of the transparent cardholder are 20 x 24,7 cm.
Attention! Tanklock tankbags are attached to the fuel cap, which is – usually – standard in one place. This means that you can’t really ‘move’ the tanklock bag around, like you would place a magnetic bag a little higher or a little lower on your fuel tank. Short nakeds with a relatively small fuel tank and large tankbags using tanklock might cause a problem at steering height. Anyway: storage space should never interfere with steering control.
However: there are solutions. The larger the tankbag, the more flexibility they usually grant. In most cases, the mounting ring of the tanklock system can be moved. Not for miles but enough to create proper space and safety.
At the mounting ring, this medium-large tankbag can be moved into three positions. In reality, this means that you can bring the bag a little closer to you, creating more space for steering. By unscrewing four screws – to then fix them again – this creates a better position on the tank.
This tankbag comes standard with a cable outlet, to connect electrical devices during the ride with a plug mounted onto your motorcycle, or with the GIVI USB hub. Or vice versa, when you want to link an electrical device (on the handlebars) to a powerbank (inside the tankbag).
