The SHARK RS Jet motorcycle helmet is a jet helmet that merges a remarkable style to a large number of functional assets. Its price corresponds to the comfort and protective qualities it offers.
Two composite and carbon fiber motorcycle helmet shells contain all motorcycle helmet sizes of the SHARK RS Jet motorcycle helmet. Underneath those shells, EPS foam in different densities provides sufficient shock-absorbing buffering and going one more layer further, you bump (well) into the ‘Best Fit’ internal body. In there, five high-tech textiles provide an optimal second-skin effect and excellent wearing comfort. The cutouts for glasses and the option to fit in an intercom system make perfect sense in this price category.
The scale tips at 1.430 grams. Not superlight but with an UV380-approved integrated sun visor and a full-worthy top ventilation we are happy to adjust our expectations in function of quality. And that’s where it all comes together. The top vent slider – one inlet, four outlets – is situated right before the a little more pronounced control of the sun visor. Any possible ‘misdirection’ doesn’t lead to large issues and you get used to it quite fast.
The ECE 22.06 certified SHARK RS Jet has a long transparent visor that can always be fitted with a Pinlock 120 Max Vision lens. It opens up possibilities. And while you’re at it: there are plenty of (optional) alternative visors to give your very own interpretation and look to this rather unique and sporty jet motorcycle helmet. The visor is secured by a four-point locking system derived from the racing world.
The micrometric closure is fast and easy to use.
For maintenance of this helmet, we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the outside. For cleaning the interior without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. A treatment on the outside of the visor with Rain-X anti-rain spray improves visibility during rain.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night scratches cause a blinding reflection of streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a long trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
