There are different ways to secure your motorcycle. Tying it down to something is always a good option. Oxford manufactured this small but powerful ground and wall anchor for that specific purpose.
You can use this anchor either indoors or outside, on the ground or against a wall.
Actually, we should write ‘in’ the ground and ‘in’ the wall. Of course, the kind of anchoring determines the success of the measure. A lot more than the size of the anchor, which is made of a tough polymer housing with a 14-mm shackle made of hardened steel.
The two 62-mm fittings are drilled in the wall or in the ground. The design of the platform and the shackle complies with the so-called ‘secured by design’ standard and the installed construction can resist grinders, hammers and saws. When you use it as a ground anchor in a place that is shared with others, you can lay the shackle flat and it can easily be driven/ridden over.
You will obviously still need a chain lock, which in this case can be up to 16 mm in (link) diameter.
