Safety and style go hand in hand for this Lady Natcho 2 motorcycle jacket who is clearly in her element between buildings, asphalt and concrete. In an urban context you might even forget that you’re wearing a full-blown motorcycle jacket.
The second version of this motorcycle jacket is an update. The exterior made of Softshell and Twiltex – even better quality than the original – has a certain cuddleability factor. The first impression is soft and comfortable, not something you might expect from a complete motorcycle jacket. Yet, the Lady Natcho 2 definitely is one of those, and a good one too. A waterproof BWTECH Super membrane keeps you dry and with a removable Shelltech lining you can definitely handle autumn and maybe even a gentle winter. The other extreme is a weathered, tough, tight, leather motorcycle suit so use the Lady Natcho 2 for what it has been designed: a city jacket that keeps you safe on that maxi-scooter or small motorbike.
In that case, there are a number of assets: soft, comfortable, a short cut and nice fit. Waterproof, with a removable hood and lots of details … The list is long and once again: not merely linked to the motorcycle.
The fact that the ALPHA shoulder and elbow protectors excel in flexibility and you’ll even doubt if they are there, does emphasise its priorities: being a fashionable city jacket first and a safe motorcycle jacket second. Two birds, but it’s important to know where the focus lies. The CE-certified protectors on the elbows can be adjusted in height and if you want to add more protection, you can fit in a CE-certified back protector.
The breathability of the Lady Natcho 2 is top-notch, which has a lot to do with the noteworthy (mesh) lining. The recycled REPREVE fibres are not only highly durable but also excellent to maintain a stable climate control. This means that two ventilation openings on the shoulder suffice to keep everything manageable. The sleeve ends – with zip and press studs – may remind you of a motorcycle jacket the most because with two outer pockets, two inner pockets, a small storage compartment on the arm, a Napoleon pocket, the removable hood and the striking horizontal stitching, this definitely defines a ‘jacket’.
Which doesn’t always require the prefix ‘motorcycle’. It can. It might.
