With the Macna Novado 2.0 you are adding a waterproof, warm and – if needed – a very well-ventilated all-rounder to your wardrobe. ‘Dropping the ball’ is not found in the vocabulary list of these Macna motorcycle trousers.
The versatility of the Novado 2.0 is impressive for motorcycle trousers’ standards. Visually, this is expressed in their utility style, although focus is mostly aimed towards other Macna features and assets. The Novado 2.0 motorcycle trousers are a little less striking than the motorcycle jackets Macna qualifies under that same utility category.
These motorcycle trousers with heat shield are made from Fybrex, ripstop, Calorite and Softwill and they can easily perform all year round. Both the waterproof Raintex membrane and the thermal lining can be removed separately and with each layer, you create a new range of possibilities. The wide ventilation openings above the knee can be opened as well. It is seldom or never that all these Macna layers create some sort of clogging: just like the sleeves of the motorcycle jackets, the trouser legs of the Novado 2.0 also have the Easy cuff system with zip instead of loops and buttons, in order to align and attach all those different layers.
Motorcycle trousers of this calibre are equipped with CE certified RISC protectors on the knees that can be adjusted in height. There’s also an additional CE-approved RISC hip protector. Anti-skid material on the seat ensures that the wearer of these trousers stays anchored in the saddle. The heat shield acts as a buffer against radiation heat.
Two cargo pockets (zip and Velcro, to keep it tight) with above them another slash pocket with zip means there’s plenty of storage space. Strips of Night Eye on the sides of the legs guarantee proper visibility. At the bottom, four Velcro strips ensure the perfect customised fit. The trouser legs flare open to facilitate getting in and out of them.
At the top, the higher back makes sure your back stays covered, even in that typical sporty position. You’ll also notice the pants hanger that – similar to the Coat hanger – distributes the weight of the Novado 2.0 evenly when you hang them.
There are of course a number of additional customisation options in the waist, in the form of adjustable straps with buckles. There’s also the option to use suspenders when wearing the Novado 2.0. You open and close these motorcycle trousers by means of a button-and-hook system, with a short zip below that.
The connecting zip in the back allows you to combine them with just about every motorcycle jacket from the Macna range.
