The Forge 2.0 motorcycle trousers are waterproof motorcycle trousers with more than enough ventilation options to be called versatile. These motorcycle trousers are developed for tourers and commuters, with a very impressive price-to-quality ratio.
The Forge 2.0 are made from a combination of Fybrex, Calorite and Softwill. All these textile variants have their own specific characteristics and Macna knows exactly where to use them, delivering a very enjoyable pair of motorcycle trousers. Sufficiently robust and hardwearing, yet comfortable at the same time. The waterproof Raintex membrane is a fixed construction, integrated and non-removable. There is, however, a removable thermal lining. Direct ventilation openings can be found above the knee. You can fix the mesh panels with a simple press stud while you are riding, which guarantees fresh airflow.
In the bottom of the trouser legs, Macna uses the Easy cuff system to secure the removable thermal lining. That zip – which is ultimately what it is – prevents your feet and motorcycle boots from having to wriggle their way through a series of loops and buttons. It gets even easier getting in, when you open the vertical zipper all the way to the knee. Thanks to Velcro at the bottom, you can customise the diameter and optimise the fit around your motorcycle boots.
Two cargo pockets (zip and Velcro, to keep it tight) with above them another slash pocket with zip means there’s plenty of storage space. Strips of Night Eye on the sides of the legs guarantee proper visibility.
Motorcycle trousers of this calibre are equipped with CE certified RISC protectors on the knees that can be adjusted in height. There are also additional CE-approved RISC hip protectors available as option. Anti-skid material on the seat ensures that the wearer of these trousers stays anchored in the saddle. The heat shield acts as a buffer against radiation heat.
At the top, the higher back makes sure your back stays covered, even in that typical sporty position. You’ll also notice the pants hanger that – similar to the Coat hanger – distributes the weight of the Novado 2.0 evenly when you hang them.
There are of course a number of additional customisation options in the waist, in the form of adjustable Velcro straps. You open and close these motorcycle trousers by means of a button-and-hook system, with a short zip below that.
The short connecting zip in the back allows you to combine them with many different motorcycle jackets from the Macna range.
