The Touros is a 3-in-1 touring motorcycle jacket with a removable thermal lining, a removable waterproof membrane and wide, direct ventilation openings on the chest. Hence: an all-rounder.
Recently, Macna has been developing a number of motorcycle jackets in a ‘utility’ style: straps, buckles, buttons, a tad of futurism… This Touros still fits the bill but if you’re really open to something new, we suggest you take a look at the Tryton.
The exterior of the Touros is made of Fybrex, coated ripstop and softwill. Somewhere between coarse and soft but definitely hardwearing, you always feel protected and armoured. Furthermore, you can wear the removable thermal lining under and over the Touros. Each has its benefits. With another removable thermal lining in this 3-in-1 you’ll be able to consider wearing the Touros at almost every given time. The only thing that can ruin that are hot days, but then again Macna proactively incorporated wide ventilation openings on the chest and a set of Air vents on the sleeves. The wind seeping in can exit the Touros via the air outlets at the back.
There are a couple of typical Macna elements worth mentioning: the Easy cuff system that uses a zipper – instead of loops and press studs – to keep all the layers inside the sleeves apart is always practical. A Quick Access Puller, that allows for easy access to the inner pocket on the chest is easy to get used to, and finally the Coat hanger has a definite added value. You can also attach the Vision 2C LED lamp to the Touros and if you want to combine any heated clothing or motorcycle gloves, then you’ll be pleased with the Electric Power Guide that guides any wires or cables through.
The RISC level 1 impact protectors on the elbows and shoulders are in charge of the necessary protection. You can buy a CE-certified back protector separately to then fit it in the designated compartment. The Touros also has the required spaces to fit in a number (which means: two) of chest protectors.
The Touros comes with a whole set of customisation options. The centring straps and the (triple) option to narrow the sleeves with press studs are important to vary according to the different layers you use.
We’ll conclude by saying that apart from the storage options in the front and on the inside, there’s also a convenient little pocket on the left sleeve. To combine the Touros with motorcycle trousers, we are looking in the direction of the Novado 2.0.
