Recently, Macna has been developing a number of motorcycle jackets in the ‘utility’ style: straps, buckles, buttons, a tad of futurism, the look and feel of an anorak … This Rebelite fits that bill. This is the summer mesh version of the Tryton – or just about.
A motorcycle jacket, a hoodie, some sort of hybrid between a motorcycle jacket and a sweater; you may get confused at first glance but one thing is clear: the Rebelite does what it’s supposed to do: be protective motorcycle clothing and provide sufficient ventilation.
The look and style of the Rebelite are clearly what make the difference. You either love it or you hate it, which is fine either way. One large part of the exterior is made of 3D mesh, supplemented with wear-resistant ripstop and Fybrex. This construction does have a full-length zip – with a kangaroo pouch, nonetheless.
The Rebelite was given a removable hood, or you can secure it during the ride. There’s a key ring and the knitted sleeve ends and collar increase that ‘sweater feeling’. RISC level 1 protectors on the shoulders and elbows come standard. If you want to fit in a CE-certified back protector, you can integrate it easily.
There is no waterproofness so don’t go looking for membranes and thermal linings. This motorcycle jacket slash motorcycle hoodie slash motorcycle sweater is ideal for fans of this particular style, and of good quality motorcycle clothing in general.
Thanks to the Belt Loop you can connect this Rebelite to the matching motorcycle jeans.
There is maintenance clothing and then there is clothing maintenance. Good, solid motorcycle clothing is an investment in comfort and personal safety. So invest in its maintenance after your purchase and enjoy your gear for longer.
