The Empire 2.0 is a light, well-ventilated mesh motorcycle jacket with a removable waterproof membrane. Ideal for summer rides without a worry in the world.
It’s always fun not to have to worry about the weather. The Empire 2.0 combines excellent and ample ventilation with waterproofness. The exterior is made of micro mesh, Fybrex, coated ripstop and a dose of (soft to the touch) softshell lite. The hardwearing elements are placed in the most significant areas, which is also true for the mesh panels. Underneath all that, there’s the Raintex ML membrane. Waterproof, breathing and comfortable to wear, even directly on the skin. An additional thermal lining inside a mesh motorcycle jacket would be completely useless, so the Empire 2.0 stops at a 2-in-1.
There are quite a few integrated Macna elements: the Air Burst – top-tier mesh – is self-explanatory and the Easy cuff system is an interesting feature too. It uses a zip instead of loops and press studs to attach the membrane to the sleeve ends. Quicksnap and Zip Grip help to open and close parts easily and swiftly. With individual customisation options on the upper arm, waist and the sleeve ends, the Empire 2.0 is a flexible and comfortable motorcycle jacket.
The Empire 2.0 has plenty of storage space. Even though this is not made to travel the world, you can store quite a few things in the two slash pockets, inner pockets and the additional space on the left forearm (always with a zip).
RISC level 1 protectors on the shoulders and elbows come standard. If you want to fit in a CE-certified back protector, you can integrate it easily. Or (double) chest protection, if you want to.
The Belt Loop is used to combine this motorcycle jacket with motorcycle jeans – or more specifically, with the belt you wear in them. For a summer motorcycle jacket like the Empire 2.0, this seems to be the ideal match.
