The Othano RTX is a short, waterproof motorcycle glove with warm padding and a short cuff. Don’t be misguided, though: this motorcycle glove is for winter.
Although it seems rather thin at first glance and the short cuff is usually associated with motorcycle gloves for summer, the Othano has been furnished with a warm, well-padded and insulating Bemberg lining. Combined with the Raintex membrane, softshell and goatskin, this is more than sufficient protection against the weather elements.
An additional layer of goat leather reinforces the palm of the hand. Beneficial to grip and it helps keep the wear-resistance level of the Othano RTX up. Still, this motorcycle glove doesn’t have the look and feel of a racing motorcycle glove: the knuckle protector is a shock absorbing, flexible RISC 3D protector made of temperfoam. The added impact protection in the palm is thermoplastic rubber (TPR), with evidently lots of shock-absorption and wear-resistance as well. All combined, this results in a soft motorcycle glove.
One of the Macna characteristics is the Ergothumb construction, which means that the thumb and index finger are structured from one single textile panel. This reduces pressure points and seams while guaranteeing a tight look. The 30° Brace on the wrist to operate the wrist closure is also a Macna in-house developed feature. This system warrants flexibility while ensuring that your motorcycle glove fits nicely and accurately.
There’s heat-conducting fabric at the fingertips of the index fingers and thanks to the Touch Tip you can operate every touchscreen without having to remove your motorcycle gloves.
