The Vitain RTX is a short, waterproof motorcycle glove with a tricot lining and a short cuff. Mid-season, bring it on.
The Vitain RTX motorcycle gloves don’t really look like motorcycle gloves that will be able to steer you through winter, even with heated grips. They seem thin and short – which they are. Still, you’ll be able to wear them for quite a long season.
The Vitain RTX have been fitted with a soft and good-quality lining. Together with the Raintex membrane and the combination of neoprene, Spandex, synthetic nubuck and goatskin, this offers plenty of protection against the weather elements. All these materials were placed where they can perform at their best. A layer of goatskin doesn’t only reinforce the palm of the hand, it also warrants excellent grip and it helps keep the level of wear-resistance of the Vitain RTX up.
The back of the hand excels in stylish inconspicuousness – definitely for motorcycle glove standards. The knuckle protector is a shock-absorbing, flexible RISC 3D protector made of temperfoam. The additional impact protection in the palm is made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR), which also offers sufficient shock-absorbing and wear-resistant properties.
Altogether, this is a soft motorcycle glove.
One of Macna’s features is the Ergothumb construction, which means that the thumb and index finger are constructed from one single textile panel. This reduces the number of seams and pressure points, while ensuring a clean look. The tips of both index fingers are furnished with heat-conductive fabric. Thanks to the Touch Tip you can operate all touchscreens without having to remove your motorcycle gloves.
There’s a Velcro strip at the short cuff to close off the Vitain RTX.
