The Durham motorcycle jeans are relatively loose cargo trousers with cleverly positioned cargo pockets and the required protective material.
These motorcycle jeans are the result of a close collaboration between Macna and Bul-lit. The latter have been focusing exclusively on good to excellent motorcycle jeans trousers for quite some time, lifting the entire alliance to higher levels.
The result is that the ‘loose fit’ Durham cargo trousers have a comfortable and enjoyable fit. By the way, ‘loose fit’ and ‘flapping and fluttering’ are not synonymous. This is proper motorcycle gear. The Denim Covec material used as main component creates motorcycle jeans that are completely wear and tear-resistant. The woven material doesn’t really need a lot of extra support. CE-certified RISC knee protectors come standard – obviously – which is also true for the RISC hip protectors.
What’s striking about the Durham are the cargo pockets, found at the left and the right, positioned a little higher up than usual. Or, then you would expect as a cargo pants afficionado. This creates more space for the accordion panels on the knee that in turn lead to more comfort. Their position on the upper legs is once again beneficial on a motorcycle. All the other traditional pockets are still present and sufficiently wide.
There’s a zip of about 10 centimetres at the bottom of the trouser legs. You use this to broaden the legs of the Durham, to facilitate getting in and out of them. There’s also no need to worry about that at the top: Macna gave the Durham 2.0 a zip with a traditional, decent button to open and close them. In the back, you can see the construction that facilitates the connection with a Belt Loop.
