These fun, compact jet helmets instantly bring to mind Italian Vespas and scoops of gelato. GMS has made an effort to reinforce that feeling. With the Gelato series, they deliver a very budget-friendly range of jet helmets—available in twelve ‘flavours’.
Yes, flavours! Each colour is named after a gelato flavour – we love it. And we love the Gelato jet helmets just as much. In the right conditions, this is a high-quality helmet that provides plenty of comfort and safety.
Every GMS Gelato is a polycarbonate jet helmet—which means it's lightweight and reliable. It comes with ECE 22.06 certification as standard, and a single shell size covers various helmet sizes. A sleek design was the goal, and at just 1250 grams, it’s a weight everyone can live with. Plus, the GMS Gelato helmet features a long, clear visor and an integrated sun visor—both essential when hopping on your bike between rounds of gelato. Both visors are easy to operate directly by hand.
Just slide them up or down—it doesn’t get any easier than that. The top ventilation system follows the same no-fuss approach.
Inside, the GMS Gelato features a polyester lining with special channels for glasses wearers, making it extra comfortable. The cheek pads and inner lining are antiseptic and washable, so you’ll always feel fresh. Plus, since the cheek pads and lining can be removed separately, maintaining the helmet is a breeze.
The micrometric ratchet closure is practical and secure, offering some adjustability, while the extra chin strap padding adds another comfort feature. Even the lower edge of the GMS Gelato is stylishly finished.
The GMS Gelato is a stylish, fun, fresh-looking jet helmet—and at this price, you really can’t go wrong. We don’t need twelve flavours, but having one of these in your collection is always a good idea.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the exterior. For cleaning the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
