This relatively long mid-season motorcycle glove combines ample ventilation with waterproofness. Yes, this is possible. Even more: Modeka does a successful job in this second version of the Air Ride Dry II WP.

The clash between waterproofness and ventilation requires an all-rounder, not a specialist. Thanks to this approach, the Air Ride Dry II WP motorcycle gloves can be used for a large chunk of the year.

The goatskin and Tactel® exterior delivers a likeable but mostly hardwearing motorcycle glove. The latter is important, even though it’s nice knowing that there’s ventilation provided at the fingers and back of the hand. Just like the space between the knuckle protector and the back of the hand that creates a ventilated effect. At the same time, the integrated Porelle membrane offers water and windproof properties.

Does this clash, you say? The exterior has been amply ventilated, the internal membrane is striving for the opposite effect and the result is a little of both. The Air Ride Dry II WP is versatile. Comfortable to wear at the handlebars and with proper protection against weather conditions, in any which direction.

There’s impact protection in the form of soft finger protectors and a knuckle protector finished with Temperfoam. No rigid cups, but good and decent, with a sense for the natural movement of a hand. The palm of the hand was given extra layers of goatskin. This inspires confidence, for sure – an important asset on a motorcycle.

The closure of the Air Ride Dry II WP is a double one: beneath the palm of the hand, a Velcro strip keeps the motorcycle glove in place while the cuff was provided with an additional Velcro to take care of a proper closure over or possibly inside the sleeve. The cuff amply covers the wrist.

With a visor wiper and a touchscreen-sensitive thumb and index finger, the Air Ride Dry II WP by Modeka is an excellent investment in a couple of seasons (March to October) of great riding fun.
