This is the sportier version of the smallest tankbag with preformed, semi-rigid cover. This tankbag can only be mounted on a tanklock mounting ring, which you buy separately. The right ring for the right bike can be found here.
Biggest innovation is that the tanklock mounting system is provided with an extra key with lock. So, you can leave the Sport-T-ST605+ on the bike without worries. Moreover, GIVI provides the possibility to operate your side and top cases, as well as the tanklock with one key. Handy.
The exterior of this five-liter tankbag is '600D PU-polyester coated polyurethane EVA'. In human language: semi-rigid plastic, with a UV-resistant layer no less. The main storage compartment has a long zipper with two pullers. By bringing the openings of both pullers together, you can close the tankbag with a lock. The central storage compartment can be equipped with an extra - removable - compartment, especially for storing sunglasses. A mesh panel in the preformed lid allows for additional division.
On top you can attach an extra removable - transparent - pouch, which makes it perfectly possible to read your smartphone. Obviously, this is waterproof, so your smartphone arrives at its destination dry. Of course you won't leave it unattended, but the bag can be removed in a flash.
This sporty tankbag literally stays upright even when empty, thanks to the semi-soft structure and the solid material. The presence of a handle allows the tankbag to be taken along effortlessly at a stop. Reflective details increase visibility in the evening and at night.
Standard this preformed GIVI is 27 cm x 24 cm x 17 cm, good for a capacity of 5 liters. There are no folding possibilities.
Attention: Tanklock tankbags are attached to the petrol cap, which is - if all goes well - standard in one place. That means: you can't really 'move' with a tanklock tankbag, like you can with magnetic bags, you can choose to place them higher or lower on the tank. For short nakeds with a relatively small fuel tank and large tankbags that use tanklock, this can cause a conflict at handlebar height. In any case: more luggage space should never be at the expense of better handling.
But ... there are solutions. The bigger the tankbag, the more flexibility it usually offers. The mounting ring of the tank latch system can - in certain cases - be moved. Not meters, but enough to create space and safety.
However, this tankbag has a size that is rather limited. The chance of a conflict is therefore small. Adjustment possibilities at the attachment ring are not available.
