Magically transform your side or top case into a refrigerator… No seriously, we are merely talking about the refrigerator light but an interior light that magically comes on can also be very convenient in a top or side case.
Important condition is that the inner lighting comes on when the case opens and goes off when closed. This is totally up to you. There’s a sensor in this interior lighting that detects the changing position of the lid, but if and only if the starting position is correct.
You mount the interior lighting horizontally and so that the GIVI-letters are legible in the lid of your top or side case. Not vertically, not upside-down, not ‘that’s just about right’. Horizontally. Legible logo. Anyway, in any case you want. In that position, the sensor will detect when the lid is closed and when it is opened. Not in any other position.
Everything else is automatic: lid open, light on. Lid closed, light off. Well, or so we believe. Like in our fridge.
Mounting is simply a magnetic strip that you stick inside the lid. This allows easy removal when you need to charge the light via USB. A red/green detection LED indicates when the time is right. You will find the appropriate cable with the manual in the box.
With the red pushbutton you can choose between automatic or manual operation. Automatic is everything you read above; in the other case you simply push the button that now functions as an on/off-switch.
We did not yet subject the interior lighting to an endurance test.
