These flexible, soft side bags will hold a motorcycle helmet. Voilà. The most important and often-requested improvement is right there in the first sentence of this piece. GIVI is not at the bottom of its class when it comes to soft luggage, but the option to store a motorcycle helmet is a considerable step forward.
The first half of that last sentence remains of course just as crucial. These side panniers are - regardless of what they contain - simply excellent solutions for anyone who doesn't like riding around with (usually empty) fixed side cases. With their PU reinforcements, matte black reflective material and waterproof inner bag, these side panniers in tear- and abrasion-resistant polyester (600D) are a more than adequate alternative. With their option to go from 20 liters to 30 liters of storage space, thanks to the zipper. Or by the hard and stable back, in which you can fit a magnet.
These side bags by GIVI include an additional, smaller front storage compartment, with zipper, but the largest storage space is behind it. Two pullers - with a lock to secure them against grabbing fingers - close everything neatly. The third zipper, closest to the bike, serves to release the extra ten liters and on top the elastic drawstring has a double purpose: you can put something extra underneath it, or you can use it to tighten the side cases a bit, so you don't create flapping at the back of the bike when every square centimeter isn't stuffed. At the base you then make the same movement, by tightening the two straps.
Flexible side cases like this make it a little easier to travel without a bike, and they've thought of that too. A handle and an adjustable shoulder strap leave the options open.
Attachment to the motorcycle is by means of straps and a double-ring system under the saddle and to an existing luggage rack or saddlebag brackets.
