An urban jet helmet that complies with the new ECE 22.06-helmet standard and that is convenient, comfortable, light and equipped with an integrated sun visor. If you’re looking for a versatile motorcycle helmet to move around in the city on anything two-wheeled: you’ve found it! At a competitive price. This EXO-City II has a height of 26.5 cm and thus fits under the saddle of some (moto) scooters.
The Scorpion EXO-City II is produced in two helmet shell sizes. This ensures that every helmet size is maintained in a relatively compact shape. The helmet shells themselves are made of polycarbonate, which explains the 1300 grams on the scales. Don’t forget that this includes the integrated sun visor and the transparent long visor with anti-scratch coating.
For obvious reasons, there are no chin guards with their respective chin ventilation: this makes the EXO-City II jet helmet more of a summery option. Keeping your head cool is easy thanks to the large top ventilation that inhales sufficiently large gasps of fresh air. Naturally, you can operate the slider just as easy with or without motorcycle gloves. The inner lining (EPS/Kwickwick® of the Scorpion EXO-City II is a moisture-repellent, antibacterial and pleasantly soft version, limiting transpiration to a minimum and keeping everything hygienic. There are cut-outs for speakers, should you want to mount any.
This jet helmet protects your face by suspending a long(er) transparent visor in front of it. You can flip it up or down as you please. No need to catch a breath. The second line is an integrated sun visor. The slider can be found to the left at the hinge point and ‘up and down’ is pleasantly simple. So, no racing gear but the most practical and convenient solution to wearing a helmet swiftly and almost in a customised way. You can operate the micrometric closure with motorcycle gloves.
The Scorpion EXO-City II is a competitively priced, pleasant, safe (ECE22.06) jet helmet that will almost certainly provide nothing but fun moments.
For maintenance of this helmet we recommend S100 helmet and visor cleaner for the outside. To clean the interior, without removing it, you can use S100 helmet interior cleaner. New visors have received a water-repellent treatment. This treatment is less effective after some time. Restore the water-repellent effect with Rain-X anti-rain spray.
Safety above all! Never ride with a scratched or dull visor. Especially at night, scratches cause blinding reflections from streetlights and headlights of oncoming vehicles. This effect is even more pronounced in rainy weather. It is best to replace a scratched or dull visor as soon as possible. Planning a longer trip? Then don't forget to take a replacement visor with you. Never ride in the dark with a tinted visor.
