A2DP (Advanced Audio (A2) Distribution Profile) is a Bluetooth profile that allows mono or stereo hi-fi sounds to be transmitted over a wireless Bluetooth connection and must therefore be distinguished from Bluetooth audio, which is only intended for voice transmission. With A2DP it is possible to listen to music in high quality via Bluetooth using a wireless headset. The prerequisite is that the headset supports A2DP.
