Hiflofiltro produces TÜV certified oil filters for motorcycles, holding a unique position in the market. Ever since 1995, the Thai manufacturer uses only the best materials and resources, guaranteeing the same – and preferably even better – standard than the original parts mounted in your motorcycle or scooter.
Apart from being a tongue-twister, Hiflofiltro is also the most complete producer of aftermarket oil filters. We can’t think of a reason why your motorcycle or scooter would require an oil filter that is not available from the range. With their tons of experience, constant R&D, strict quality control policies and high-quality components, Hiflofiltro wants to produce the best oil filters marketed in the world.
The ‘RC’ – Racing, high-performance oil filters – aim specifically towards the needs of modern-day racing motorbikes and the extreme racing conditions that require quite a lot from the equipment. Hence, the Hiflofiltro RC-range. Obviously, you can use them on public roads as well.
Specific RC properties are the ‘high performance tri-fibre filtration media for maximum filtration, high capacity and enhanced oil flow’, yessir. The particles are filtered up to 5 micron. The casing is also resistant against higher pressures and demanding circumstances, just like the coated relief valve.
The Hiflofiltro external oil filters from the RC range are compatible with all mineral and synthetic oils.
All these oil filters have a 17mm drilled nut to simplify and facilitate dismounting. Thanks to this drilled nut, you can cotter the oil filter with security thread for racing use.
You can easily fit an oil filter yourself. They are manufactured according to the specifications of the motorcycle makers, so there’s no such thing as ‘doesn’t fit’. Their primary function is to filter the polluting elements from the motor oil which has a direct impact to the life expectancy and performance of your engine block.
(Dis)mounting
It’s hard to recommend the proper wrench to dismount your current oil filter because we can’t know which brand you use now. It’s best to dismount by hand or with a universal wrench. Only in an emergency – and we emphasise that final word – can you get somewhat of a result with a screw driver.
Mounting the new oil filter is best with the wrench you find at the bottom of this page in the section “Tools”. It’s always convenient to own a universal wrench as well.
