Additional accessories and parts for motorcycle footwear? A marketing trick! Or is it?

Good, sturdy and protective boots and shoes are a (sensible) investment, but again: everything is only as strong as its weakest link. 'Weak' may be interpreted in the broadest sense here, but scraping a toe slider on the asphalt will certainly cause some wear. Just like it would be a shame if your adventure boot became unusable when the quick-release buckle kicks the bucket.
