ACEBIKES Fixed wheel chocks for motorcycles
When you want to store a motorcycle on a trailer, in a van or just in the garage, it usually stays with the tires on the ground. And tyres roll, that's what they are made for. A wheel clamp is a handy accessory, which allows you to secure the motorcycle in a few moments. These wheel clamps make good use of gravity: you ride the bike in and it (or she?) anchors itself thanks to its own weight. This way you can easily secure the bike with straps on your own.

A wheel clamp is also interesting when you want to give the bike a thorough (really thorough) cleaning or when there are a lot of tinkers to be done. In a wheel clamp the motorcycle stands upright, which requires little extra space.
Choose the right wheel clamp for maximum effect. This is much easier than it looks. You only have to take into account two things: the width of your front tyre and the diameter of your front wheel. And you can read those two dimensions off the tire, if you know where to look.
Each motorcycle tyre has a similar code, as shown in the example below:
The code contains a lot of information, but the only thing you need to know in order to choose the right wheel clamp is:
- The width of the tire, expressed in mm. In this case it is 110.
- The diameter of the wheel, expressed in inches. In this case it is 19.
Sometimes an older, alternative size representation is used as in the example below:
- As with the modern representation, here you will find the diameter of the wheel, expressed in inches. In this case it is 18.
- The code for the width of the tyre, in this case 3.25. You can easily convert this code to the tire width in mm using the table below.
Code | 2.75 | 3.00 | 3.25 / 3.50 | 3.75 | 4.00 / 4.25 | 4.50 | 4.75 / 5.00 |
Tyre width | 80 mm | 90 mm | 100 mm | 110 mm | 120 mm | 130 mm | 140 mm |
