Front fork and shock absorber oil for motorcycles
Checking and possibly replacing front fork oil and shock absorber oil is usually not on the top of the 'to do' list, but it is necessary nonetheless. The manufacturers themselves recommend to do this at least every two years.
Front fork oil has been specifically developed to guarantee optimal damping characteristics and constant damping behaviour. In addition, the fork oil protects against wear and corrosion of the internal parts. You may not see it and rarely think about it, but when it goes wrong here, you'll know it immediately.
There are different grades of viscosity and as always it is important that you choose the oil that is suitable for your bike. You can do that via this link, but of course you can also consult the manual for your motorcycle.
